limping cocatiel

Hi Cynthia,
    I've been watching my bird and hes been seeming to pull out feathers that aren't ready. now he's pulled one out that was under his leg and cant seem to put pressure on his left foot. if this would help than hes fairly new to my house he's about 5 months old buts been in my house for about a month now. what should i do!!!!!

I believe your cockatiel may have Giardia, a parasite intestinal infection which can cause all sorts of problems, including feather plucking.  Please bring him to an avian vet (one who specializes in birds) and ask that a fecal test be done on your bird.
