parakeet black spot on foot

We cannot find a veterinarian here that handles birds. We have had this parakeet for a few years and now he has a black spot on his foot. He does not seem to be favoring it or sick in any way other than diahrrea. He has had runny stools before and gotten over it. The black spot on the foot is what is concerning us. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I don't know what the black spot could be (I'm not a vet by any means). But you can try locating the nearest vet (who will see birds) by searching on these websites:
