i have 2 hermit crabs that my daughter no longer wants...i can not find any takers for them...can they be turned loose outside or what is the best recourse for these crabs?

try offering giving them away in locle newspaper or flyer posted around before doing anything drastic or worse comes to worse a pet store will take them off your hands for sure. They cant be turned loose as with any captive pet because these espesily are from I'm not sure where but in the states somewhere where there are big beaches they live on land near the oceans where tehre are normaly trees nearby as they climb very well. Try the petstores as they wont live in the woods/in the par ect ect and probaly would die if placed near a river.
