Might be urgent - GI Stasis?

Question
Hello!

So my rabbit, Cinder, an approx 1 year old Satin has slowed down on her food and water intake. Her pellets are definitely smaller as well. Her mood seems fine, not lethargic but something seems up. I took her to a vet before to see why she wasn't feeding her kits. It turns out she had an intestinal blocking. He mentioned it, but didn't really address that problem. Shes been okay since, but now she won't eat as much Timothy hay and sometimes a store bought rabbit food. Should I take her back to the same vet? Or was the Dr. there not a right fit since I've been down this road before? Should I consider this an emergency? I plan to go to the vet ASAP or Emergency Care if need be at your recommendation.

Best regards and thanks for your help

Andrew

Answer
Dear Andrew,

If she is eating and acting pretty normal, it's not a life-threatening emergency. But this is certainly something to address.  From her behavior, I would guess she might be one of the many rabbits suffering from dental problems.  Please see:

You will need a very rabbit-savvy vet to assess this, and I hope you can find one here:

Please get her to a good rabbit vet ASAP, before the condition deteriorates.  Please also see:
