Puting the male back with the female

Question
We have 2 Holland Lop Bunnies and they are male and female.  The female just had 4 babies and they all died I was wondering when We can put the male back in the cage with her.

Dear Mindy,

Do not put the male with the female until you have read these two very important articles:

Until the male is neutered, the two should be kept apart.  Once he has healed for about 3-4 weeks, the sperm should all be inviable/gone, and the two can be reintroduced carefully.  The female should be spayed to end her high risk of uterine cancer.
