Question
We recently found a wild hare or should I say it found us it is only 4 or 5 weeks old. Our local pet store gave us some formula to feed him and he was doing well up until a few days ago when we went to get him out of his cage he couldnt move.We thought he was going to die but by the morning he was moving a little bit .We took him to a local vet that said he was malnurished even though we were doing the right thing we just wernt feeding him enough and maybe he hurt his bones which caused him to not be able to move. Since then he seems to be slowly getting a bit better but every time he goes to stand up he falls over, sometimes he can balance and even has a bit of a run but most of the tome just falls over. I am still confused as to how much we should be feeding him and how often and am wodering if it is a bone problem why he cant move properly , will he get better?

Answer
At 4 or 5 weeks old the bunny was weaned and on its own in the wild.  It should have been left alone and probably would have been OK.  In most states it is illegal to own wild rabbits in most cases because we humans end up messing thing up.  The mother only feeds the babies once a day usually in the evening and nobody has made a formula that is equal to the mother rabbits.  I am sorry to sound rude, but you should have just left the baby alone.  Its chances for survival now (in the wild or not) are very slim.
