too young to get pregnant ??

Hi ive just bought a 8 week old female guinea pig not sure if she was kept with males could you tell me if she has got pregnant will it kill her as she is so young i no there is a chance with every pregnant guinea pig but is it a higher risk because of her being so young

Hello Yvonne,
I think your guinea is a little young to have babies but I cannot tell you if she is pregnant, keep feeling her belly and maybe call your local vet or get an x-ray taken. There is a higher risk of her dying but I hope she doesn't. If she has been kept with boys all her life their is a chance of her being pregnant but she may not be.
