Do you know what is the matter with my hamster?

Teddy bear hamster Age 5or6
 He is turning blue and he's getting fat. He has been turning blue for a week and a half and has been getting fat for a week. Do you know what is the matter?

hey,
  its unusual for hamsters to get fat so fast, i think maybe you should take him to the vet, to see what could be causing it,lack of exercise could be a factor, if hes old, maybe he doesn't want to run around so much
 The other thing is age five for a hamster is very very old. usually hamsters live 3-4 years at the most, it could just be old age which is causing this in your hamster. a blue tint could mean lack of oxygen, watch him breathing and see if it seems irregular.
  To be sure what is wrong, take him to the vet if you can.
