How do u tell if your gerbil is pregent and what to do if it has babe's and how long are they pregent for

Sorry, but you really can't be positive until the gerbil gives birth but you can be fairly certain if the gerbil looks like a pear from above, looks kind of bumpy,and if the male feels like matin again she will alway refuse.  YOu don't have to do nothing for the babies except check on them and count them twice a day for the first 7 days.  ALso, wou WILL NOT need to seperate the male.  He actually does everything that the female does except feed them.  The female will give birth to on average 6 pups, but it could be anywhere from 1 to 10 the 23rd or 24th day of the pregnancy unless she already has more pups then it will be as soon as their weaned.  Good luck with your new pups!
