ok i KNOW that u said u dont do breeding but i just need to know if mating your dwarf hamsters is a requirement and if it isnt, then do you have to "sex" them?

thank you for your question.
Dwarf hamsters can live on their own. Keeping them in pairs of groups doesn't work out in most cases.
If you want to keep just one hamster, you don't need to sex it. If you want to get your hamster from a pet shop, it's better if you are able to sex it reliably, though, because most pet shop employees don't know how to do it. But I would recommend looking for a good breeder or for hamsters in shelters or private rescues, many are looking for a new home.
