Questionwhat kind of milk is best for a hamster mom? how should i prepare it? and in
what way should i give it to her? and any other suggestion that can be a
substitute for milk? thanks a lot!
AnswerHi Mac
I avoid giving milk to hamsters as it can be indigestible. If you particularly want to, then the cat milk is best for the mother - but don't give this to the babies. The best way of getting extra nutrients into her is by giving human baby food - the powdered variety - mix with water. She can eat this and when her babies are a couple of weeks old and leaving the nest, they can have it too.
