black bear hampster not liking to be held.

   well i have a black bear hamster.Ive had it for about 1 week and i was wondering why every time i try to hold him he will not stay still and tries to climb out of my hand so what should i do to get tamed to sit in my hand without jumping out write back ASAP. Thanks

Black bears are not good first time hamsters, as they like to squrim and aren't too friendly towards humans. My only advice is to not try and tame them when they are sleeping, they hate to be woken up. Only try picking them up when they are fully awake and try feeding them fresh food straight from your hand so they associate it with good things.
