Gerbil Taming

Question
Hi, I bought 2 gerbils about 3 years ago. One of them had died, so I bought a baby gerbil, so my other gerbil wouldn't get lonely. When I put them in the same cage, the baby gerbil attacked my other gerbil so I had to put them in seperate cages. The baby gerbil was really aggressive and kept biting me . I returned the baby gerbil to the pet store to get another baby gerbil to keep my current gerbil from being lonely. Again, the baby gerbil attacked my gerbil. I still have the baby gerbil, and I was wondering what I could do to tame it and put it with my other gerbil. The new baby gerbil also bites me. From all my previous gerbils, all of them have gotten along except these gerbils. What should I do?

Answer
Well Jen Kim, THis is probably one easy problem.

First off I'd like to say that your attempts to reunite the Gerbins are failing because gerbils aren't like dogs or cats.  I'll give you step-by-step instructions on what to do.

First-Make a screen-frame from wood and screen (screen's holes should be ATMOST 1/4 inch size)

Second-Make it to fit the center of the cage exactly (or diagonally works)

Three-Fill each with neccicary things needed to live (individual food and water bottles)

Four-Change them into there soon to be partners cage, and do that once nightly this should get the used to eachothers smell. For about a week till you unite them.

Five-Get on a pair of leather gloves and lift the grill get ready to seperate if they fight

SIx-Watch them for ATLEAST 1 HOUR then they should just sniff eachothers rears like dogs.

If this is to much trouble you can just buy a new pair.
Hope this helped.
