female gerbil bleeding genitals

I had 8 gerbils, two parents and 6 babies. the male gerbil got out a couple weeks ago and died, and then one of the baby gerbils died. the female hasnt been acting wierd or anything, but when i picked her up today she had blood down there, on her back feet, and her nose. she isnt with any other full grown gerbils, just her 5 babies. is she having a period?

hello, no she isn't having a period, gerbils don't have periods. I would certainly take her to a vet. Can you pin point where exactly it is coming from? Whipe the blood from her so I will have a better idea of what she has. If it's just a wound it will heal up on its own, but without knowing how long she has been bleeding or from where it's hard to know what is the best option to do if you can't take her to a vet. Keep me updated on her health.
