hamster fights

hi,my two dwarf hamsters fight quite frequently. one of them is injured.what should i do? i have already seperated them but is this the right way to solve the problem?

You did exactly the right thing. Dwarf hamsters are just as solitary as Syrian hamsters. They may live together for quite a long time, eight to ten months and then they are fully mature and start to establish territories - that's when the fighting starts. Depending on the character of the hamsters, it might happen sooner or later, but it will happen with almost all of them.
