Gerbil seems hurt

Recently my gerbil has fallen from my sister's hand and onto the wooden floor. I think it landed on its side and now its back in the tank but i cant walk right. He seems to drag his legs and occasionlly he'll try to put them back under him but it seems it hurts him. Will he be okay in a while or will we have to take him to the vet?

Hi Jenny,

He may need to see a vet but give him until the morning to see if it fixes itself. Sometimes the stress can affect them, and so it maybe that the fall has traumatised him. If there is no improvement in the legs by the morning then yes i would recommend you see the vet, just to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong there!!
