Question
My gerbils had babies 3 1/2 weeks ago.  All seemed to be going good but yesterday when I went to check on them both of the parents were dead.  I put the babies in a different cage and replaced everything.  They are eating good but I don't know what to do about getting them to drink or to replace mom's milk.  Any suggestions

Answer
Wow....I'm sorry such a calamity should happen to you brandy and at 3 weeks old....My recomendation would to do one of two things.  First I know that around 3 weeks they begin to get weened and you can just let nature take its course maybe put the water bottle right under there mouths, or if you are really nervous buy Kitten Milk and an eye-dripper then "Drip-Feed" the baby Gerbils this will take some practice for you and the babies.  Me personaly would do the first one. Or maybe sprinkle powered IRON on there food/put a CUTTLE-BONE in there cage these would provide iron and calcium but i've never tried these.  Hope this helped and don't fret.
