hamster picking

hi,

my black bear hamster cookie bear died from the disease wet tail today and i wanted to ask you what type of hamster i should get? i mean like regular, panda bear, or black bear. what is your advice?

    So sorry to hear about cookie bear.
    I myself prefer a type of Syrian hamster, black bear, fancy, teddy bear etc.
    Hear are some things to look for in picking a healthy hamster:
    Check over their body, make sure there are no bumps or lumps.
    Make sure their fur is well groomed (nice and shiny, not dull looking and make sure there are no bald spots).
    Make sure there is no drainage coming for their eyes or nose.
    Check their bottom (and the other hamsters in the same cage) to make sure it is clean and not dirty looking.
    They should be fairly active.
