HURT HURT HAMSTER PLEASE HELP.o god help

HI i hav a horrible dilemna,and i hope that u can help me.I have a bunch of european black bear hamsters.One got into anothers cage and they had been fighting.I realized that one was hurt becuz it wus limping on one of its back legs.After a closer look i saw a big gash behind one of its ears.I got some hydrogen peroxide to put on it,with a cue tip,and when i looked closer,i realized that there is a 2 centimeter hole behind its ear,rite thru the skin.I AM SUUPER WORRIED PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I can do.i cant take it to the vet or anything because we dont have money.Ive been trying to find a way to give away the 6 young hamsters that i have left,and this is exactly y.PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN HELP MY HURT HAMMY<and how i cud help find them new homes so this wont happen again.=-(

Hi Matthew,

    First, you need to cut the hair from around the wound. To prevent the cut hair from falling into the wound, wet the scissors and the hair will cling to the blade. Then wash the area with diluted peroxide ( 1 teaspoon peroxide, 3 teaspoons water) and coat with a good antibiotic ointment (like neosporin). Clean the area everyday with the diluted peroxide and reapply new ointment. Continue this until the wound is heeled.
    To find a new home for your young hamsters, Try asking friends and other family members first. If this shows no results, then go to your local pet store/s and see if they will take them.
