how do i get my hamster to know me?

i have 2 dwarf hamsters. in the beginning (less than a month ago) they were both very friendly, now only one of them is very friendly. one started fighting the other and i had to get them separate cages then that same one became really distant, she started bitting me and whenever i stick my hand in the cage she bites me so hard i cant get out of her grip? what is wrong with my hamster and what can i do to prevent this behavior or at least prevent it from getting worse?

Try winning her over by handfeeding her raisins or another hamster treat.  Start over very slowly, letting her get used to the idea of you before picking her up.  You may need to wear gloves if she's biting that hard until she gets tame.  Make sure to check her for any injuries that may be causing this irritability.  If everything seems normal, use the food trick.  Hamsters are suckers for raisins, honey nut cheerios, etc.  She needs to associate you and being handled by you with pleasant experiences such as receiving treats, getting a new chew toy, etc.
