How long dose the baby hamsters have to stay wit there mother after they are born

Hi Kim,

When the baby hamsters are 3 weeks old, they're ready to leave their mother.  Keep all the babies in one cage for another 2-3 weeks.  Then, if they are Syrian hamsters (Teddy Bear hamsters), each hamster should have his or her own cage.  If you have Dwarf hamsters, however, you can keep them in same-sex pairs.
