Buying a baby hamster

Im about to buy a baby hamster from a per store I was wondering what kind of special things will I need for it

Hello, you will need a fairly nice size cage for the hamster. If you are buying a dwarf hamster you can buy the cute plastic tube homes for them. If you are buying a regular short haired, long haired or teddy bear hamsters then I would stay away from the plastic cages and tubes since they can get stuck in the tubes once they get older and I would buy a wire cage. Other than the cage you will need, hamster food, a little house for it to snuggle inside his cage, lots of different chew treats such as honey sticks. You will also need to find some good bedding to place on the bottom of the cage. I recommend Carefresh or soft -sorbent because I have used both of these are they are great at keeping the odor down. I also recommend that you buy some vitamin drops to place in their water. other than that just give your hammie love and attention. :-)
