Question
Hi kelly,

sorry for bothering you again, but i have heard that the all the syrian hamsters(male and female) should be put in the same cage until 6 weeks of age when they are separated from their mother. can u do this?

Answer
Hi Dylan,

Don't worry, you're not bothering me :)

That information that you heard is correct.  When the babies are 3 weeks old, they should all be moved to a separate cage.  They should stay in this cage for another 3 weeks.  When the babies are 6 weeks old, then they can go to new homes.

After the age of 6 weeks, Syrian hamsters should not live together anymore.  As adults, they don't get along with each other.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask :)

Kelly
