different animals living in same cage

Can hamsters and mice live together peacefully in the same cage?  We currently have neither but are looking into them as pets.

Hello. No do not put different species of animals in the same cage it will be world war III in there. Mice are okay only one per cage, the same with hamsters. If you want an animal that doesn't smell as bad buy a hamster. Mice have a very musky smell. Hamsters can get up to 8in. and they get pretty fat as well.  I have a dwarf hamster and they only get 4in big and they are pretty small and cute and fun to keep as pets.
