cant tell betwen wet tail and dihorrea

hi i have had my hamster for 10 days and for three days she has had a messy tail her poop is very watery but she eats normally and is very active and drinks and plays so i am confused i asked one expert and she told me that she will probably have wet tail soon but i wanted another opinion so i am asking you:)

hello, your hamster has diarrhea also known as wettail. You really do need to take your hamster to a vet for antibiotics. Wettail is basically an intestinal bacterial infection that hamsters can get when they are stressed or for other reasons. They do have a product that you can find in most pet stores called Dritail and sometimes that will help cure wettail but the best way to get your hamster better is by taking her to a vet.
