might she be pregnant?

hi there, i purchased a hamster for my son for his birthday 10 days ago, friday morning i woke up to her having built a huge nest in the corner, she is definately hoarding food as i can see where she has put it in the corner of the nest, she is forever re'lining the nest and zipping around being busy, she is obviously small but does look very cuddly!!i can't see any teats on her belly when she stands up, i have read they should be promenent if pregnant? i am just wondering if you think shemay be, plus could she have already had them i can't see anything or hear anything in the nest this is our families first time with a hamster let alone a pregnant one!! we just want to do what's best for her, she is a campbells dwarf/ campbells winter white can't tell really thanks a lot michelle

Hi Michelle,

most hamsters will make a 'nest' to sleep in, they will also take most of their food there too, she is not neccessarily pregnant.

She could be pregnant but if she is there is nothing really you can do.

She probably wont look any different all the way through, so you probably wont know anything until she has the babies.
