Question
my daughters hampster is not drinking water.  Should we be concerned? Should we add anything to the water to make it more appealing?

Answer
Hi Penny,

The Hamster should be drinking its water!! Is the bottle reachable?

It may not drink much, you won't neccessarily notice the water level going down each day. Is it eating, and does it look healthy? Bright eyes? Clear bottom? Clear nose? Is it active?

All the questions i have just asked are good indicators if something is wrong. E.G the eyes will be runny, and it will be withdrawn.

Try popping a dish of water in the cage and leave that for a while to see if the hamster drinks from there, if you are really concerned pay a visit to your vets just to be safe!

When did you get the hamster??

Sorry for all the questions, but i hope this helps you a bit!!!

Thank you,
Charlie.
