White liquid, Male hamster??!!

Hi there, My Hamster as far as im awear in a boy hamster and the past 2-3 days i have seen a small amount of thick, white, smelly liquid inside the tubes around the outside of his cage. I don't know which part of him its come from but he seems perfectly well and is eating and playing as normal. Is everything ok or should i have him checked at the vets??

This is a very common problem - i think your hamster is using the tubes as a toilet - most hamsters do this - maybe he is just marking his territory.

He sounds very normal, but you may not be able to stop him doing it.

The only thing you can do is maybe take out the tubes altogether?
