Hamster bug bite

Well my hamster has a bug bite that is red and has a black tip. sometimes it oozes and today it started to bleed. I am wondering what is it. Could it possibly be a bug bite? I had a bug bite where the bug stuck to my skin and am wondering if thats what it is.

Hi Nina,

    It is very possible that it could be a bug bite or even a spider bite.
    This area should be watched closely. i would also suggest to wash the area with an anti-bacterial soap and warm water, then apply a very small amount of an antibiotic ointment like neosporin.
    If the area should happen to get worse, then the hamster should be seen by  a vet.
