how long hamsters live

My hamster,Oreo lived a year and a half.I don't know what to do.Should I put him in a grave and get another pet right away,or should I keep him in the grave and wait awile and then get another pet?

    So sorry to hear about your hamster. Generally hamsters live anywhere from a year and a half to over 2 years of age.
    A lot of hamster owners bury their hamsters after they pass on and some will get another one right away and others will wait awhile. That choice is up to you. If you are ready for another one, then get one (if parents agree), if you are not sure if you are ready for another hamster, then wait awhile.
