hamster is she having babies?

QUESTION:  hello i think my hamster is havin babies she is very grumpy and is makin a  nest i think a there is this white stuff cominout of her bum and it smells she is bringing food the wat i think is an nest and she is breathin very fast and if u touch the sphere that her nest is in she would go for u and she is eatin alot and i gave her food like one of the other experts said to give her bread in milk and i did it so if u can write back as soon as possiable it  would be of great help from hollie> and oh sorry i think she is a syrain hamster if it is  any good to u!!! hollie!!

Just going back to a previous question - did you mate your hamster?  What makes you think she is pregnant?

The continuing white discharge is causing me concern. It makes me feel that it is some sort of infection.  Can you touch her at all?  Is she sitting hunched up? Syrian hamsters are the larger of the hamsters.  I assume she is living alone (as these are solitary creatures) - therefore did you mate her?

QUESTION: no she wont let me touch her and and she is still hunched  up can u plz tell me more!! because we bought her a week ago and i asked another expert who was at my home and said she was a female but he pet shop said she was a male and he said she may be having babies!!

Hi Hollie

I would strongly advise you get this hamster to a vet to be checked out. It sounds as though she may need antibiotics and/or pain relief.  They will be able to confirm the sex of the hamster and if she is pregnant.  Any hamster that sits hunched up and becomes aggressive is in a lot of pain and therefore somehow you need to be able to get her to a vet as soon as possible.
