can i give my gerble a bath?

Hi Toni,

No, you should never give your gerbil a bath.  The water will remove the oils from his coat, leaving him at risk for an illness.  If your gerbil's coat is greasy, you can buy chinchilla SAND (don't buy chinchilla dust) and pour some in a wide, shallow container.  Let your gerbil roll in the sand for no more than 10 minutes, once a week.
