Question
do you know if a hamster could die if they have ring worm?

Answer
Ringworm alone shouldn't kill a hamster, though he certainly won't be very comfortable until he gets treatment for it.  An infection from him scratching the area where the ringworm was affecting him, on the other hand, could kill him.  If he's got ringworm he does need to be treated as soon as possible for several reasons, one of which is that it's highly contagious to all animals, including humans.  If you have more than one pet the last thing you want is a ringworm outbreak.
