Male Syrian hamster sleeping more.

Question
I have recently noticed my male, 5-6month old hamster is sleeping more. He will not wake until about 11.50pm now. I understand hamsters are nocturnal but why the sudden change in sleeping patterns? I moved him from my bedroom to the living room due to coldness in my room - since doing this the sleeping habbits have changed. Could it be due to more noise being in the living room?
When he is awake, his activity is normal - running on wheels, eating, drinking etc. However, last night he woke up early than his latest sleeping habbits due to me changing his cage and he remained in his sand bowl, apparently dosing off, until becoming active much later on in the evening.
Sorry if i have rambled on, and if it doesnt make sense!! Should i take him to the vets?
Many thanks,
Emma

Answer
It is because of the move. I kept my hamster in my room and when I moved he was kept in the living room, 2 very noisy rooms. I do not go to sleep until 2am, the exact time my hamster used to wake up. As soon as the lights went out he would go about his nightly things. I moved him into the guest bedroom, where it is dim and quiet, he gets up much earlier now. The point is there is nothing wrong with your hammy, and he is just being affected by noise.
