lazy bum

hi, its me again with the black russian dwarf hamster. I was just wondering why my hamster sleeps so much. i know that they're nocturnal and they sleep during the day and are active at night but this hamster sleeps day and night. i mean he'll probably get up for ten minutes every now and then but he's never been wide awake for 1 hour straight. i don't get it at all. maybe you can help?

I seriously think our hamsters are distant cousins. I have an albino winter white hamster that is the laziest thing and wakes up for food and water and that's about it. Is your hamster eating and drinking as normal because if he's eating and drinking normally than he's fine he's just lazy. Personally, some hamsters are just plain out lazy.
