gerbil baby eyes

Just a quick question...my baby gerbils opened their eyes about three days ago and the one babies eye seems to want to be closed again.  Is that normal?  The eye looks bright and clear when it is open.

Hi,

If it does not look sore, irritated and does not have discharge surrounding it i would not worry!!! Keep an eye on it the next few days and you should see that it sorts itself out again, but if it doesn't and it stays closed i would recommend taking it to the vets just to double check it is healthy!! You can just gently dab it with a warm wet cloth (clean) to encourage it to open if you like!!
