Im getting my first hamster today.

Question
Are male or female syrian hamsters more docile?  I'm a total greenhorn at hamsters.  I would appreciate any advice you could give me.  Thank you.

In my opinion from raising both, the females have tended to be far more hyper then the males. As they age they all slow down a little, but many of my females were very preoccupied with trying to escape, where as my males of the same age were more inclined to sleep. Males are more docile.
