Depression?

Question
I have two hamsters. One is Banana: She is hyper and active and perfect. My other one is Pineapple: she's way larger than the average hamster, she's not quite as active (probably due to her size?) and always seems to be doing something weird that I can't pinpoint in any hamster "how-to's" I bought from the pet stores. Over the last day or so, she seems to be super lazy, just randomly laying down in the middle of her cage (instead of her usual bedding area) and she has all of her food in her pouch, so much she can't fit into a tube. We've tried to see if we can gently force it out and we've even tried giving her treats to see if she would replace it. I know we bought her when she was older .. probably 6-8 months .. is there an issue here? Part of me thinks that she is dying .. because she is older .. but just two days ago she was fine and rolling around.

Answer
Congratulations Heather,
you officially have a lazy hamster. :) When you read the books and see a lot of hamsters in the store people seem to assume that every hamster is active, but many just want to be fat and lazy. Mine is the same way, he sleeps in weird spots, does weird things and is just plain weird all together. He stuffs his face full of food, drinks some water and finds a place to sleep. He's one weird hamster.
I don't think there is really anything wrong with him besides old age and just wanting to be lazy and fat. :)
