Question
my hamster has had babies and the babies are squeaking and somtimes roaring why is this and once she left 2 babies in 1 best and the rest in another what should i do
?????

Thnak You!

Answer
Hi Alex,

the babies are fine, all animals make noises at some point, although I would keep a close eye on the 2 that she separated, if they die, mom will either eat them or you'll have to remove them with a spoon. Do not under any circumstances touch the babies or the cage, or mom or the nest for the next 2 weeks. or mum may smell your scent and reject or kill her babies. After the 2 weeks is up, you can handle them for short times to clean out the cage, after 3 weeks, you will need to separate the males from the females, at 4-6 weeks old, they are ready for rehoming.

Best of luck and thank you for your question :)
