my hamster i have had for about 3 months now well i just got two new ones and one is a female and i would like to mate them, and i  dont know how old my new one is but when the male was sniffing her private parts she froze and seemed like it wasnt bothering her so is it ok to let they breed?

Hi Chance,

    She froze because she was in season (heat). This is when to breed them. A female will come into season every 4 days (this may very from 3-5 days). Your new hamster should be at least 4 months old before breeding her. If you feel she is and she is in season, then try breeding them (if this is a younger person, make sure it is ok with your parents first).
