ANOTHER RAT QUESTION

I am feeding my rats a brand of food called exact. On the cover it said it was for hamsters and gerbils. Then when you read the back of it, it says it is for hamsters,gerbils,mice and rats. Is the food ok for them. Does the company not want to advertise that the food is ok for mice and rats too. Due to the stigma of owning rats and mice?

Hello, the kaytee exact for hamster/gerbil is generally okay for rats and mice but really isn't the preferred choice to use for them. Generally if the label on the front says it's for rats and mice than that's the preferred choice of food because the food generally has a different type of seed and more fruits and stuff for them. Rats tend to prefer a seed based diet more than the extruded diet. :-)
