fighting robrovski hamsters

Question
I have four robrovski hamsters living in the same cage. They were introduced to each other when they were young but they fight. One of them is bigger than all the others, two of them are the same size, and one is the runt. The big one and one of the other ones is fighting with the runt and beating up on it. I know I need to seperate them but I don't know which to seperate. I'm thinking I should just seperate the runt from the rest because the other 3 get along fine. What do you think?

Answer
Dear Molly,
thank you for your question.
There is the danger that the fighting will continue because one hamster will always be the weakest. Roborovski hamsters do live as pairs in the wild, but in captivity, this very often doesn't work. Same sex-groups almost never work, the hamsters will start to fight when they get older.
Separate the runt from the rest of thr group now, but keep an eye on the others, you may need to separate them all.
I hope i was of some help to you
