bedding

Hello again I have a question concerning the cotton like bedding you can get say at wal-mart and the pet store. is it ok to use that without it harming the hamster, or should i just stick to aspen bedding? is there anything other than these two bedding that would be good only for his bedding inside the house? thank you for your help.

I mentioned recycled paper bedding (carefresh), not cotton. Cotton fluff bedding is very bad for hamsters, even though they try to pass it off as safe on the package. You can use either aspen or recycled paper without harm, they are both safe. If you want something extra soft, give the hamster some plain, unscented, lotion-less tissues to shred up. They love to put that in their nest to sleep with. This should not be the main bedding though.
