Hamsters sleep weirdly

Question
Hey umm sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to know something. I have two female short haired hamsters, and they are about 4-5 months old, when I got them I put them in a new cage, and then the next day I found them sleeping very weirdly, one of my hamsters was on there back and it looked stiff, I thought it was dead but it wasn't. Now both of my hamsters sleep on there backs with there arms and legs standing up, but I rarely see them sleeping in a ball, sometimes they sleep on each other >_< loll weird but yea loll i just wanted to know why that happens and is it normal?

Thank you for your time

Answer
First of all Nancy let me apologize for not answering your question sooner. All hamsters have their weird habits, which really can't be explained. As long as they are behaving normally, and are not showing any signs of sickness, I wouldn't worry about them sleeping on their backs. So, I would say yes, your hamsters behaviour is normal.

Again I offer my deepest apologies. I hope this was helpful.
