Hamster very sick with skin problems

Hello there.

I've had my hamster Cookie for almost over 3 years now, and a few months ago I noticed he was starting to lose hair and look very 'scabby'.  I immediatley took him to the vets, where he got istant treatment for mites and antibiotics to put into his water. I had to back 3 times for his treatment and he had started to look better. But just recently he is getting worse and I am so scared I am going to lose him. He is tired all the time, he has no hair, he is very wrinkly and has dry patches, his eyes don't open, he has no balance, his ears don't go up anymore...the list is endless. He is very well cared for and he is a very old little guy. I do my best for him, but I feel so helpless. Any suggestions as to what I can do to make my little hammie more content before it's too late? I will very much appreciate any answers.

    Im sorry but it sounds like he is dieing. There isn't anything that you can do. It is just his time to go, it sounds like he is suffering. Just talk to him a lot and hold him to comfort him. This should help him go easier.
