Gerbil got worse

Question
My gerbil has gotten worse. He feels very cold and there is blood in his urine. I have some medicine for a respiratory infection that I got this morning from the pet store. I have him some earlier today. Do you think he will be okay now?
I'm really worried about him!!

Hello again,

I really think you need to try and find a vet that can see him. It sounds like he is going to need some proper medication, which i think will be something you can't get off the shelf!!

Which county are you in?

While you wait it is essential you keep him warm, do you have any sort of heat pad that you can heat up, wrap up and put in there? Maybe try putting a strong reading lamp over the cage to warm it up. He must stay warm. If he isn't moving much maybe wrap in a blanket and hold him to you so he stays warm!!

Blood in urine is not a good sign and so you must try to get a vet!!!!

I defintiely think you should try and syringe feed him some baby food to give him some energy, he needs to eat.
