introduce a gerbil

Hi

I'm Evelin and i live in Brazil. I have 8 gerbils, one of them are alone and I'd like to introduce a female with him. In fact they are from the same family, but I've separated the females because of the babies (they have it a lot very fast). One of them died and his companion got alone. Can I try to introduce 2 females with the lonely male? i have a terrarium with 5 females, a terrarium with a male and a cage with two males. Could be easily to introduce him with the males?

Do not introduce the two females in with the one male. The females will fight over the male, killing or severely injuring one. Personally if you don't want so many pups keep males with the males and females with the females. It's generally better to do it that way. The thing you want to do is to slowly introduce all the males into one clean cage that has been cleaned really well so there will be less confrontation. When you introduce all three males watch them very closely. The minute you see them fighting or pulling fur from their tails seperate the agressive one.
