Should I get a Syrian Hamster?

Question
I switch homes every week, and I was wondering if a Syrian hamster
would be OK. My two homes are about 2 minutes apart. Will the hamster
be okay if it swicthes every week?

thank you for your question.
I would recommend leaving the hamster in one home. Since you can just walk over to feed it and check on it, that would be much less stressful for the hamster than being carried around or switching cages every week. They don't deal well with changes, but can live perfectly well without their humans around as long as they get their food. A good hamster cage would also be much too big to be carried around.
