Answer
I can't believe the pet store let you take 2 syrian hamsters(another name for your type of hamster) with the intention on keeping them together. Syrians can NEVER be kept in the same cage together for a long period of time. The only reason they are housed together in the pet store is because that is one family unit of young hamsters. When they get older they will need to be separated or fighting will occur. I would split your hams up as soon as possible, lest one of them get injured. I would suggest you don't breed them until you read up on hams and prepare yourself as an owner. A mother can have up to 8 pups, and thats alot to handle for a new owner, and in most cases she will eat the pups because 3 months is too young to start breeding a female. Female hamsters will eat their pups out of defense, stress, and illness. Wait until she is 6 months at least. 7 weeks is acceptable for a male to begin breeding. If you want to keep several hamsters together, get  dwarf hamsters when they are young. If 2 syrians is not what you expected, please return them to the pet store.

If my responce came across angry it isn't at you, it's at pet store for having uneducated sales people.
