Question
Hi kelly i have two male Russian Hamsters and recently i have noticed the smaller of the two has a bold, bloody rear.should i separate them.i was told when i bought them together that they would be fine and could get lonely on their own. what should i do keep them in separate cages or could that be worse to separate them.

Answer
Hi Kirsty,

Occasionally male Dwarves will fight.  Since yours are fighting, you'll need to separate them.  The fighting will only continue to increase in violence if you don't separate them.  You'll need another cage.  Dwarves are social animals, but since yours are fighting, it's best to separate them, and keep them separated.

Have a great weekend, and a great Fourth of July!

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask :)
